The Township of Springwater is located in the heart of Simcoe County and includes eight communities such as Elmvale, Minesing, and Midhurst. Elmvale is known for its community events that residents and visitors alike look forward to each year. The Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival is an annual event that happens in April and celebrates the rich maplesyrup industry in Elmvale. There are a variety of different family activities and contests like the pancake-eating contest. All the funds raised go to help fund local school programs for children.
The Elmvale Fall Fair is another popular annual event that happens each year during Thanksgiving weekend. There’s a thanksgiving parade that kicks off the event and a variety of fun kid friendly and family activities.
Shopping is limited in Elmvale but there is a Foodland to satisfy your small grocery item needs and a Circle K for quick gas fill-ups. For larger grocery stores and other urban amenities, residents must travel to the nearby City of Barrie.

The Steelers Restaurant and Pub is a great place for a casual night out that serves delicious pub fare food, or if you’re looking for a great breakfast and lunch restaurant, the Country Diner is a great place to eat. In the main core of Elmvale, you will find the Elmvale Bakery. It has been the heart of the town for decades and is known for its amazing European-inspired desserts and bread.
