From painters to sculptures, and photographers the various art galleries showcase local, regional, national, and international artists and Indigenous artists all year round. Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts
Through a variety of annual events, the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts supports and promotes the work of hundreds of talented artists of all ages, who work in a wide range of creative fields. Their current exhibition represents the artist’s journey to becoming the artist that they are today.
Atkinson Artworks
The abstract paintings found at Atkinson Artworks are rooted in the tangibility of the physical world but draw in questions about our human relationship to the earth. They’re an “alla primer” painter which means they draw directly from models or still-life setups in studio.
Barrie Art Club
The Barrie Art Club showcases new exhibits each month featuring local artists.
Christine Marshall Wildlife Gallery
At Christine Marshalls’ gallery, you will find a variety of paintings, lithographic and giclee prints that feature various wildlife landscapes and animals.
Maclaren Art Centre
The Maclaren Art Centre is a regional public art gallery located in downtown Barrie. The gallery has a permanent collection of contemporary Canadian art as well as year-round programming of world-class exhibitions. Each month showcases a new exhibit and artist.
Midland Cultural Centre
The Midland Cultural Centre showcases different exhibits each quarter. The ground level gallery is exclusive to Indigenous artists that provide a way to visualize spirit, stories, and teachings.
