Craft Breweries to visit this Fall in Simcoe Muskoka

Summer has officially come to an end and Fall is very much in the air. The Simcoe Muskoka region is home to over 30 different craft breweries all creating their own unique brews.

Your North Life wanted to highlight just some of the great craft breweries in the region, some of which you can find on our shop local business directory.  

Redline Brewhouse

Located in the South end of Barrie, Redline Brewhouse is a family owned and operated brewery. Using only high-quality ingredients, their team is continuously sourcing interesting ingredients from the region to add to their brews.

If you would like to learn more about their very detailed brewing process, they have tours Friday 4-8 pm and Saturdays 12-8 pm.

Quayle’s Brewery

At Quayle’s Brewery located in Coldwater, you’ll find this picture-perfect looking farmhouse that just gives you all the Fall vibes. But what makes this experience even better is the fact that you’re surrounded by acres of trees with changing Fall colors while you enjoy your brew.

The Hops Harvest tour will guide you through the hop yard, harvester cast house and brewery where you’ll see various stages of harvest from farm to kettle.

Flying Monkeys

Although brew tours are currently closed, you can still taste and enjoy some of Flying Monkey’s famous craft brews in their taproom/restaurant. Flying Monkeys provides a relaxed environment and is the perfect place to go on Friday night.

Try the 12 minutes to Destiny. It’s a rose hips, hibiscus and Raspberry Lager.

Couchiching Brewing Co.

Located in Orillia, Ontario Couchiching Brewing Co takes pride in its quality craftmanship. It’s also home to award winning beer Atherley Pale Ale in Ontario’s Brewing Awards 2020.

Collingwood Brewery

If you aren’t your a-typical beer drinker, you will be after you try one of Collingwood’s brews. They have a variety of well-balanced beers that will turn your non beer drinker into a beer lover after they try.

Sawdust Brewing Co.

Located in Gravenhurst, you will find Sawdust Brewing Co. All their brews are made with pure Muskoka water, and they have a variety of seasonal and limited time offering brews to taste.

Canvas Brewing Co.

Huntsville’s newest craft brewery opened in 2019. Although their brewing may be young it will be sure to not disappoint.

Creemore Springs

Located on Main St in Downtown Creemore you will find one of Simcoe Muskoka’s longstanding breweries. Creemore Springs brewery always brews with local spring water. You can try one of their high-quality tasting beers paired with the best pizza you’ll find.   

Muskoka Brewery

Nestled in Bracebridge you will find Muskoka Brewery. They have put a lot of work into being one of the top leaders in brewing and freshness. With everything in moderation, they have put their most natural ingredients to the test and researched how they can be a healthier beer option.

Barnstormers

Barnstormers Brewing has great beer and great food. If you’re looking for a great place to eat and drink, Barnstormers is the place to go and it’s right here in Barrie.
