Find Your Local Farmers Market

Visiting the local farmers market is a popular outing for many in the Simcoe Muskoka region during the Summer. Farmer’s markets are a great way to build relationships with your local farmers and growers and support your local agriculture community. Your North Life has highlighted a few different markets throughout the region for you to discover.

Barrie

The Barrie Farmers Market happens every Saturday morning in downtown Barrie in front of City Hall. You’ll find a mix of veggies and fruit, meat, and dairy products, as well as local artisans and makers showcasing some of their amazing products.  

Orillia

The City of Orillia also hosts its farmers market on Saturday mornings in Downtown Orillia at the Orillia Public Library. Visitors can find a mix of vendors offering produce, cured meats, wine, baked good, and arts and crafts. This year they’ve also added a craft corner for kids that will feature a different craft each week for children to create. The craft corner was organized to bring the community together and help kids get creative.

Innisfil

Innisfil’s Farmers Market happens each week on Thursday afternoons at the Innisfil Recreation Centre. Here you’ll find a mix of vendors and producers, as well as local artisans, and you can enjoy live music while you are looking around.

Southern Georgian Bay

The Southern Georgian Bay Farmers Market was created with hopes to create relationships between residents and local farmers, food producers, and artisans. Discover some amazing local businesses from around the Midland, Penetanguishene, and Georgian Bay area, and support the local agricultural community.

Huntsville

The Huntsville Farmers Market takes place each Thursday at the Huntsville and District Agricultural Society Fairgrounds. Visitors can find a variety of local farmers, producers, and makers here.

Bracebridge

You will find the Bracebridge Farmers Market at Memorial Park in downtown Bracebridge every Saturday morning. Discover local farmers and growers, as well as artisan markers and local businesses found within downtown Bracebridge.

Gravenhurst

The Gravenhurst Farmers Market is passionate about promoting Ontario produce with an emphasis on locally grown Muskoka farm products. The Farmers Market takes place every Wednesday in the downtown core featuring many local farmers, artisans, and makers.

Port Carling

Enjoy walking and looking around the Port Carling Farmers Market with a beautiful view of the Indian River in the background. Their farmers market takes place weekly on Thursday mornings featuring many local and handmade goods businesses.
