    Barrie Lakeshore Centennial beach
    Centennial Beach

    Barrie’s busiest downtown location is hands down Centennial Beach. Seasonal swimming, sandy shores and picnic areas alongside a waterfront park make this an excellent summer destination.

    Spirit Catcher

    The waterfront is home to over 6km of walking paths and boardwalks along Kempenfelt Bay with the heart meeting at the Spirit Catcher. This sculpture was made in 1986 and has been a Barrie symbol ever since.

    At over 120 slips, the Barrie marina is the perfect place to dock up in the summer. Many resident’s use this downtown area to relax before setting off into Lake Simcoe or take a walk along the beach.
