Living in Ramara

Located on the East side of Simcoe County, in the heart of Cottage Country, Ramara offers a touch of urban lifestyle in beautiful rural surroundings. Ramara is a gateway to relaxation, recreational activities, and retirement communities. Miles of shoreline properties, clean water, public beaches, cottage rentals, summer resorts, family camping, and sporting activities. Ramara is also home to strong agricultural and resource extraction industries that have been a key part of the region for decades.

Scientists have discovered wooden fishing spears that were stuck deep in underwater peat moss. The age of the wood indicates it has been there for thousands of years, placed there by the very first native settlers to this region.
